Flu vaccination can be administered during employee health clearance appointment.General Job of patients pre op, phase I and phase II recovery.PACU nurses care for patients after surgery and must demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and carrying for patients in Phase I. Candidates for PACU jobs require critical care skills to assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and track other indicators of stability or complications. Ideal candidates for post-anesthesia care units have natural abilities to think critically. Past experience in critical care and surgical nursing is a plus.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.Meditech,PCA Pumps, Pyxis, BraunIV Pumps, Cryocuff, SCD's, Bair PAWS Warmers, HP Monitors, Phillips MonitorsRequired skills and minimum years of experience.2 years experience as a critical care RN (i.e.,ER ICU) in a hospital setting may be accepted substitutefor PACU nurseexperience.Valid BLS and ACLSfrom the American Heart AssociationA valid professional license within the state of practiceA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credentialfrom the American Heart Association isrecommended and may be required for specific registered nurses and travel nurse positions.Other specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific positions (i.e.NIHSS TNCC)Shift or schedule requirements.Shifts vary between 8, 10 and 12 hours and can be Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekends/Holidays and vary between units ASU and PACU.
